Easy Creamy Crock Pot Mac and Cheese
I am always looking for a recipe to get the house going running smoothly as long as I can. I like to start the day by getting lunch on its way in the morning so that when it is time for lunch I do not have to stop doing school early in order to prepare lunch for the kids. This allows us to get a lot done with minimal interruptions. (We already have many from the little ones and I don’t need any more hehe!)
I normally make this on the stove but had the idea of using the crock pot and it worked out great! I think this recipe taste way better than box mac & cheese if you ask me! Here is the recipe and a tutorial.
16 oz Pasta (Dream Field Pasta for THM)
2 C Water
3 C Cashew Milk
1/2 C melted Butter
6 Slices of American Cheese
2 Handfuls of shredded cheese
4 oz Cream Cheese (1/3 fat)
Put the first 5 ingredients and mix them together in the crock pot. Place the slices of cheese down on top of the pasta, then spread the shredded cheese on top and put spoonfuls of the cream cheese. Seal the crock pot and cook for 3-3.5 hours on low. When you open the crock pot mix the ingredients together well and serve!
